Earlier this year, Kathryn, who is the founder of online store Blossom and Glow, lost her Aunty to Ovarian Cancer.

She admits that she is lucky to have never had experienced loss before, but because of this, she found the grief all consuming.  She struggled with how to deal with the passing of her Aunty, and continue to run her busy online business at the same time.

The answer in the end, was simple.

Kathryn decided to put her emotions back into her work, and create a product that was not only a tribute to her Aunty, but that would help raise funds specifically for Ovarian Cancer.

Being in the industry, she knew what she wanted and wasn't prepared to comprise on quality.  The t-shirts she has created are not only 100% organic, they are made in fair trade conditions and manufactured solely using sustainable energy generated from wind and solar power.

Most importantly though? $5 from the sale of each of these tees will go towards the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, so important research can be funded so no one has to go through what Kathryn and her family have.  Every 10 hours, a woman will die from Ovarian Cancer, a number that is far too high.

Whilst Kathryn is much more comfortable behind the camera, she decided that it was really important for her to be the face of this campaign, which she hopes will be shared by using the #beboldforher.

Why Bold?

"The definition of bold is to take risks, be confident and courageous. That encompasses everything my aunty was in her life, and in her battle, and it’s also exactly what I want to instil in my boys".

The tees have launched today over at Blossom and Glow, shop them here.
